Job Description

The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for building and property maintenance, clearing debris and refurbishing the building components to ensure quality guest experience.

Duties:

• Performs routine inspections and repairs to all areas of the property.

• Respond promptly to all aspects of hotel construction maintenance to include paint, carpentry, wallpaper, tile and marble, plumbing, electrical, and hotel rooms and halls.

• Work efficiently and safely with all hand and power tools.

• Provide training and guidance to new hires and coworkers on general operations, equipment operations, and safety standards.

• Maintain a constant awareness of safety problems and report unsafe conditions to management.

• Conducts regular safety inspections and addresses any potential hazards to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations

• Annual completion of Respirator training and fit test.

Qualifications:

• Maintenance experience in home renovations, hotel operations or facilities is preferred

• Available to work flexible hours including overtime, holidays and weekends as needed

• Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 75 lbs.

• Ability to solve problems and work under pressure

• Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
