Park Maintenance I
PART TIME - SEASONAL
HOURLY RATE: $15/Hour DOE
The City of Fredericksburg is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Part Time – Seasonal Park Maintenance I employee. If you enjoy working outdoors and contributing to the beautification of our community, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general semi-skilled laboring tasks in grounds keeping for parks and public facilities.
• Mow grass, landscape, and carry out custodial duties.
• Operate a variety of hand and power equipment.
• Deliver and set up equipment for various City events and programs.
• Complete work order and daily report paperwork.
• Assist with storm debris clean-up operations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Virginia Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with co-workers, supervisory staff, and customers.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, some evenings, and fluctuating shifts based on park needs and scheduled events.
• Criminal background and driving record checks are required.
