Job Description

Plant Reliability Mechanic – Industrial Systems

A Day in the Life

Your shift kicks off at 2:30pm . You walk the line, complete visual inspections, check fluid levels, and lubricate key points. A sensor reads off—no problem. You calibrate the gauge, tighten a coupling, and clean the assembly. A runtime inspection flags an anomaly, so you launch a diagnostic test, evaluate performance data, and pinpoint the issue using your tools and experience. Before the night ends, you document work performed, record parts used, and note a recommendation for a future adjustment.

On another week, you’re on third shift (10:30pm – 6:30am) , rotating weekends as scheduled. You’ll train on first shift at the outset so you’re set up for success. Between calls, you verify shop tools are in good condition, update inventory, place an order, and check incoming parts against receipts. A project ticket comes in—assist with the relocation of a machine center. You reference schematics, blueprints, manuals, and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to get it done safely and efficiently.
