Registered Nurse (RN), Labor and Delivery Job Type: L&D RN Days 7a-7p
Must have two plus years of experience to move forward in the application process. Where We Are: Florence, Alabama is situated in Northwestern Alabama, where the Tennessee River Flows through the scenic Shoals. On your days off spend some time fishing and boating on Wilson Lake. Come tour the historical sites, visit Key Cave National Wildlife Refuge, or take a relaxing lake cruise on Wheeler Lake.

Department/Unit Summary The Labor and Delivery Unit offers obstetrics and gynecology care, as well as pediatrics, breast health and educational classes for new and expecting mothers. The L&D unit features two HOPE Suite rooms geared toward natural births and include a laboring tub, Bluetooth monitoring system, birthing balls, and birthing swing.

Qualifications And Requirements Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:
- Must have Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification.
- Must have BLS, ACLS and NRP.
- Two to three years' nursing experience required.
What You Will Do The L&D RN under the general supervision of the Director, and according to established policies and procedures, coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient/family advocate, and works with other nursing and ancillary personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Work is of a very confidential nature. Performs other duties of the department as required.
