Role Overview

We are seeking a Teradata Data Analyst with 5+ years of experience in financial services data analysis and modeling. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the Teradata Financial Services Data Model (FSDM) , data governance, and regulatory compliance. This role requires hands-on experience in data mapping, lineage documentation, and collaboration with engineering teams to deliver high-quality data solutions aligned with business and regulatory needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Requirement Analysis
  • Analyze business requirements and map them to the Teradata Financial Services Data Model (FSDM) .
  • Perform data gap analysis, data mapping, and data lineage documentation across source and target systems.
• Data Engineering Collaboration
  • Work closely with data engineering teams to design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines aligned with FSDM structures and standards.
  • Collaborate with data modelers to extend or customize the FSDM to meet specific business needs.
• Data Modeling & Validation
  • Design and validate logical and physical data models for financial subject areas such as customer, account, loan, and transaction .
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in all data solutions.
• Data Governance & Documentation
  • Create and maintain data dictionaries, business glossaries, and metadata documentation to support governance initiatives.
  • Contribute to enterprise-wide data governance and quality assurance practices.
• Testing & Quality Assurance

• Support QA and UAT by validating data transformation logic and ensuring FSDM alignment.
• Provide reconciliation and validation support across workstreams.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst in financial services.
• Strong expertise in Teradata Financial Services Data Model (FSDM) .
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in data gap analysis, mapping, and lineage documentation .
• Experience in designing and validating logical and physical data models .
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in financial reporting.
• Strong documentation skills (data dictionaries, glossaries, metadata).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
